ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2024

Congratulations to our new Chairman, Stuart Broad

Stuart takes over from Erica Ebanks along with a number of new faces on our Executive Committee - including Aiden O'Donoghue as Treasurer, and Jardae Barnes and Alena Valiaeva as new committee members. Aims for the next couple of years are to increase members involvement and member perks. Look out for exciting changes coming to an Inbox near you...

We thank departing committee members Renae Ferguson, Adam Roberts and Fay Anne de Freitas for their service to CDS in the last committee year and look forward to their continued involvement in our society.

UPCOMING SHOWS

We are pleased to let you know that we have secured the rights to a number of shows that have only limited releases to amateur groups worldwide. Here is a list of some of the new shows that will be on stage during the next couple of years:

  • The GruffaloJoin Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in this magical adaptation of the book - The Gruffalo. PLEASE NOTE - Every audience member requires a ticket (including babes in arms). Our capacity is per audience member (all ages), not per used seat.
  • J'Ouvert - At Notting Hill Carnival 2017 three friends take us with them on the road.
  • When Darkness Falls (world amateur premier) - On a stormy night on the small island of Guernsey, a young paranormal expert joins a skeptical history teacher to record the first in a series of podcasts based on the island’s incredible folklore and paranormal history. As the expert regales his horrifying stories, the teacher learns that we all have our own truth. Our own story. Ghosts that haunt us. That bring the past, present, and future together in unexpected ways. Ways that could threaten to unsettle everything we think we know.

RELAXED, AND ASL INTERPRETED, PERFORMANCES

Do let us know if you require an ASL interpreted performance, or a relaxed performance (where high sensory moments regarding lights and sound are muted, and house lights are kept on low for a less stimulating/triggering environment). A relaxed performance allows more people to enjoy the offerings CDS provides, and is open to all whether or not you need the accommodations. To request either of these accommodations, please email boxoffice@cds.ky
